Everything you need to know before the start. By registering, you accept these rules: take five minutes to read them.

Article 1 · Races

The LIGHT ON TRAIL event for the 2027 season is: LIGHT ON TRAIL Pierre-Percée***, Sunday 4 April 2027.

Taking part implies knowledge and acceptance of these rules. By registering, the competitor gives the organisation express permission to use any still or audiovisual images in which they may appear during the event, on any medium, including promotional and/or advertising material.

Article 2 · Distances and categories

  • Trail 17 KM*: open to all, licensed or not, from the Junior category (born in 2009 or earlier).
  • Trail 37 KM**: open to all, licensed or not, from the Espoir category (born in 2007 or earlier).
  • Trail 54 KM***: open to all, licensed or not, from the Espoir category (born in 2007 or earlier).

Start and finish of each format: Base de Loisirs, 88110 Celles-sur-Plaine. Every participant agrees to follow the course in full.

Article 3 · Registration

Registration is online only, on njuko. No registration on site.

  • Trail 17 KM*: €19
  • Trail 37 KM**: €39
  • Trail 54 KM***: €49

Registration closes on Thursday 1 April 2027 at 20:00, subject to available race numbers. A waiting list may be set up.

Certificate, licence or PPS

To be valid, every registration must be accompanied by one of the supporting documents below.

Adults:

  • an Athlé Compétition, Athlé Entreprise or Athlé Running licence issued by the FFA, or a "Pass' J'aime Courir" issued by the FFA and completed by a doctor, valid on the date of the event (FFA Santé and Encadrement licences are not accepted);
  • or a certificate (paper, electronic or QR code) stating that the person has completed the Parcours de Prévention Santé (PPS) set up by the FFA on its dedicated platform.

Minors:

  • an Athlé Compétition, Athlé Entreprise or Athlé Running licence issued by the FFA, or a "Pass' J'aime Courir" completed by a doctor, valid on the date of the event (FFA Santé, Encadrement and Découverte licences are not accepted);
  • or a valid sports licence, mentioning no contraindication to the practice of sport, athletics or competitive running, issued by a federation partnered with the FFA: FCD, FFSA, FFH, FSPN, Fédération sportive des ASPTT, FSCF, FSGT, UFOLEP;
  • and, in all cases, a health questionnaire filled in jointly by the athlete and the persons holding parental authority. If any section calls for a positive answer, a medical certificate of no contraindication less than six months old is required.

Supporting documents must be uploaded to the registration site no later than two weeks before the event to finally validate the registration.

Runner's commitments

By registering, each runner:

  • declares having read the rules and the ethics of the race, and agrees to comply with them in every respect;
  • declares holding individual accident insurance covering rescue, search and evacuation costs in France;
  • declares having checked the medical contraindications that might concern them and releases the organisation from any medical problem arising during the event due to negligence on their part.

Every entry is personal. Anyone handing over their race number without going through the official transfer (article 13) will be held responsible in the event of an accident suffered or caused by the bearer of the race number. Any race number obtained in breach of these rules may lead to disqualification. The race number must be fully legible during the race.

Article 4 · Race number collection

At the Village LIGHT ON, in Celles-sur-Plaine: on Saturday 3 April 2027 from 17:00 to 19:00, and on Sunday 4 April 2027 from 6:00 to 9:00. Race numbers are not sent by post.

Article 5 · Programme for Sunday 4 April 2027

  • 6:00 - 9:00: race number collection
  • 7:30: start of the Trail 54 KM***
  • 8:30: start of the Trail 37 KM**
  • 9:30: start of the Trail 17 KM*
  • 12:00: awards ceremony

Article 6 · Equipment

Each participant dresses according to the weather. Trail shoes are strongly recommended. The trail is run in semi-autonomy: a personal water supply is strongly recommended. Canicross is not allowed.

Article 7 · Course and marking

The three races are marked loops, with signs, flags and an erasable ground marking that protects the environment. All the marking is removed after the race.

Article 8 · Safety and medical assistance

Safety is provided by marshals put in place by the organisation, who watch over the safety of competitors and the smooth running of the event. Medical assistance is provided by a professional medical team. Each participant must report a runner in distress to the medical assistance or to the marshals.

Article 9 · Aid stations

The trail is a semi-autonomy race.

  • Trail 17 KM*: one liquid aid station at km 11.
  • Trail 37 KM**: one liquid and solid aid station at km 11 and at km 26.
  • Trail 54 KM***: liquid and solid aid stations spread along the course, detailed with the track.

A full aid station awaits all runners at the finish.

Article 10 · Cut-off times

  • 2h15 at km 11.3 for the Trail 17 KM* and the Trail 37 KM**.
  • 4h45 at km 26.2 (Col de la Chapelotte, on the way back) for the Trail 37 KM**.
  • For the Trail 54 KM*** (start 07:30): 2h15 at km 11.3 (09:45), 5h30 at km 28.3 (13:00), 8h30 at km 43.4 (16:00), and finish within 10h30 maximum (18:00).

Article 11 · Rankings and awards

Every finisher of the three races receives a medal at the finish.

An individual ranking is drawn up for each race. Trophies and prizes are awarded to the top three senior and veteran men, and to the top three senior and veteran women in the scratch ranking, regardless of age category. No cash prize is awarded. The presence of the awarded participants is mandatory: in case of absence, the prizes remain with the organisation.

Article 12 · Cancellation and refund

On presentation of a medical certificate only, the organisation refunds 50% of the registration fee (excluding fees charged by njuko) up to one month before the event. No other reason gives rise to a refund, and no refund is possible in the month before the event.

In the event of an exceptional cancellation for which the organisation is not responsible (force majeure, safety requirements, weather conditions, decision of the authorities, etc.), no registration can be refunded and no damages can be claimed.

Article 13 · Race number transfer

A race number transfer is possible until Thursday 1 April 2027 at 20:00, only between runners, via the njuko participant area (the "Transférer mon inscription" button). The new participant registers with payment; the registration is effective once payment has been made, and the participant who transferred their race number is refunded within 8 days. The organisation cannot carry out a transfer itself. Race numbers cannot be carried over to the following edition, except if the event is postponed.

Article 14 · Sanctions

Any participant caught throwing litter outside the designated areas, showing unsporting behaviour, disrespecting volunteers or failing to comply with these rules will be called to order, then disqualified in case of a repeat offence; they will then have to reach the finish by their own means. No claim will be accepted.

Article 15 · Insurance and liability

The organisation has taken out civil liability insurance. It is up to participants to insure themselves personally. The organisation cannot be held responsible in the event of an accident or failure of participants, in particular those resulting from poor health or insufficient preparation. Participation is under the full responsibility of competitors, with waiver of any recourse against the organisation in the event of damage or after-effects subsequent to the race. The organisation declines all responsibility in the event of theft or damage to equipment.

Article 16 · Image rights and personal data

Each participant authorises LIGHT ON to use images in which they may be identified, as part of promotional and advertising broadcasts. In accordance with the French Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978 and the GDPR, each participant has a right of access and rectification of their personal data, by writing to hello@lightontri.com.
